AVENA was created by BCV on 15 December 1977 under the name Fondation commune Banque Cantonale Vaudoise deuxième pilier.
BCV set up the Fund to meet local companies’ occupational pension needs. This was a pioneering step, since the Swiss Federal Occupational Pensions Act (known as the LPP in French) didn’t come into force until 1 January 1985 – some seven years later.
We are now one of the leading pension providers in French-speaking Switzerland.
